GlobalPOS Remote Support Kit is the latest in remote GNSS support. Use the in-built SIM in the Data-collector or Tablet PC and  GlobalPOS can completely remotely operate your system from any web browser, whenever you request it. This can be very useful to assist GlobalPOS to train you or your staff, and in particular new employees, who may not be familiar with the particular software being used. It can also be used to assist you in trouble shooting configuration problems with system settings as can occur in the field, especially when different field crews may use the same equipment.  This can be a very effective cost saving measure as you don’t need to pay for a staff member to come to your site and you receive instantaneous support. It is especially useful for large organisations using a shared equipment pool. Based on 3G mobile coverage, support is available Australia wide. The support is available for all the field data-collector solutions GlobalPOS offer. It is included in all systems capable of using an internal 3G SIM card. Using the SIM card interface you also can copy files to and from the field data collector or PC to your office.

Example scenario: Your major client requires some set-out work to be performed urgently on a site when you are some distance from your office. You need to get the required information for the set-out from your office and as a requirement of the work you must operate from the on-site GNSS base station. The use of the SIM card connection and GlobalPOS remote support make the solution simple. Download the setout file from the office via email and get GlobalPOS to reconfigure your GNSS rover to the required settings for this site using the remote support option. You can then continue your work in a timely fashion and keep your client satisfied.
