GITA and Telstra get unplugged in Brisbane

The  Geospatial and Information Technology Association Australia & New Zealand (GITA ANZ) will hold an Unplugged presentation & networking function with hosts Telstra on Thursday 26 November. The theme of ‘Better Information Management’ will focus on the best practices for addressing, underground infrastructure and emerging road sensor technologies. The event will coincide with the 2015 GITA ANZ AGM and the program will consist of the following:

  • Annual General Meeting (GITA ANZ members welcome); 2:15pm – 3:00pm
  • GITA Unplugged Function – Managing Infrastructure through “Better Information Management”; 3:30pm – 6:00pm:
    • Host Presentation – Data management challenges with addressing (Telstra)
    • SUI Standard (AS5488) for underground infrastructure and what next – Bruce Douglas
    • Integrating multiple information sensors to better assess and manage linear infrastructure, a roads example – Fiona Duncan, Principal – Technology as a Service Team Lead – AECOM
  • Networking over Drinks and Canapés (4:30pm to 6:00pm)
