1Spatial launches 1Data Gateway

By on 10 March, 2020

1Spatial has launched a new web platform for data validation, processing and enhancement.

The details of the new 1Data Gateway tool are interesting. Far from being a baked-in feature of one the firm’s existing suite products, the tool can also be used to validate and clean non-spatial data, and can be used in cloud-hosted or local deployments on premises.

In keeping with other tools in the Location Master Data Management (LMDM) products portfolio, the new gateway uses a rules-based approach, making its services applicable to a broad range of sectors.

Material released by 1Spatial suggests that transportation and infrastructure companies, government agencies, and utilities companies and other entities with complex supply chains could use the gateway to help manage compliance and data governance.

1Spatial CTO Seb Lessware said the tool was developed to respond to the requirements of their customers.

“Our customers need to unlock information contained within spatial data from multiple suppliers, in multiple formats, often submitted via different means. 1Data Gateway provides a single place for data submission, allowing the data to be validated, harmonised, cleaned and enhanced, making it fit for purpose and allowing the insight it can provide to be unlocked,” he said.

“It’s an exciting update to our product range, and should help revolutionise the way organisations manage their data flow.”
