Klearview360° asset inspection system debuts

KOREC and NCTech have announced the launch of their vehicle-borne asset inspection and verification system.

Klearview360° based around is based around NCTech’s iStar Pulsar+ 360° camera, integrated with KOREC’s K-portal cloud hosting for live monitoring.

The firms are promoting the system as a solution for local authorities to monitor compliance and the status of assets, according to Richard Gauchwin, KOREC Business Area Manager – Mapping & GIS.

“Historically these types of solutions have been very expensive, but the KlearView360° integration with the iSTAR Pulsar+ means that we can put vehicle mounted inspection into the hands of local authorities, highways engineers and consultants, utilities and many more in an affordable and effective way,” he said.

Material released by the companies describe a streamlined workflow in which asset defects or issues are identified in real time from imagery along a chosen route, mobile workers can then be assigned a task and location, sending photo verification when complete which will automatically the database.

The iStar camera unit can also be mounted on a backpack for those pounding the pavement.

Cameron Ure, CEO of NCTech said he was excited to be working with KOREC.
