Phase One Industrial brings its latest large-format nadir and oblique aerial camera system to market.

The new large format behemoth can simultaneously capture 2D and 3D photogrammetric imagery by integrating a 280-megapixel (MP) nadir camera with four oblique 150 MP cameras into a single pod, according to Phase One.

The PAS880 can capture 20,000 pixels across in nadir with 14,000 in each oblique angle, at two frames per second capture rate.

“The outstanding image quality and accuracy combined with unsurpassed data collection rate make the PAS 880 the most productive large-format aerial mapping solution on the market today, based on established Phase One technology,” said Dov Kalinski, Phase One VP of Geospatial Business.

“We designed the PAS 880 with the same reliability and affordability our aerial mapping customers have come to expect from a Phase One solution, ensuring an ROI that is unmatched by other oblique and nadir systems.”

Phase One says that the PAS880’s integrated GNSS/IMU offers two accuracy levels, and the unit comes bundled with a tightly coupled system of flight and sensor management software.

Image quality can be monitored by pilot and navigator in real time with dual views, the BSI CMOS sensor has a 3.76-micron pixel size, and the system contains 12TB of storage with a separate SSD for each camera.
