The Department of Transport and Main Roads’ North Coast Region (encompassing the state-controlled network within the Somerset, Moreton, Sunshine Coast and Noosa Council areas) will shortly call tenders from interested parties for the collection of traffic data via use of Traffic Loggers.

It is currently proposed that the contract will be for installing, maintaining, removing and downloading data for each of the designated sites within the region over a 12 month period with the potential to extend it to two years. Each count is required to be undertaken within a prescribed timeframe within the year for a minimum continuous period of three weeks at each location within. Sites are located at various locations throughout the region.

A pre-tender meeting for interested parties will be held on Floor 1, 131 Sugar Rd, Maroochydore on 10 June 2014 at 8am to brief the industry and consider any feedback prior to the calling of tenders. It is not necessary for prospective tenderers to attend this meeting. Tenders are expected to be called in late June 2014.
