RTKWorkshop

There are still some vacancies for the annual RTK GPS/GNSS for the Modern Surveyor workshop, to be held on campus at UNSW on Feb 14-15, 2013.

This course is designed for a range of professionals from those with no background in GPS at all, through to the regular user who may want to optimise what they do. It is aimed at surveyors, but will also prove very useful for spatial professionals.

Simon McElroy (LPI) and Craig Roberts (UNSW) present basic theory with a practical bent, discuss GPS positioning, RTK, CORS, AUSPOS, GPS heighting, PPP, communications issues, datum issues, troubleshooting, network RTK, new regulations, GNSS for control surveys and the impact of future signals and systems on surveyors and spatial professionals.

There are hands-on exercises and the major manufacturers showcase their latest gear.

To find out more and to register, download the brochure from www.gmat.unsw.edu.au/futurestudents/short/RTK_2013.pdf.

If there are any enquiries, please contact Craig Roberts c.roberts@unsw.edu.au or telephone (02) 9385 4464.
